I like the new Google Bar.

Get iCloud with Outlook on PC

I didn’t realize that iCloud was supported on PC! To get it, just download and install the iCloud Control Panel from Apple’s site. I configured it to pull down my Photostream photos and I got it syncing my Calendars, Contacts, and Tasks with Outlook!

Features of iOS 5 Explained

Here’s a good article that walks through the major features of iOS 5 due to be released tomorrow. I’ve been on iOS 5 for almost a week now and they are pretty spot on.

Citrix XenApp 6 Tip: Generating a Published Application Report

Here’s a quick and easy way to pull a list of published applications that includes all of the servers the apps are on, and the list assigned to those published apps. All of the servers have a new version of the command line called PowerShell. The default Get-XAApplicationReport does not iterate through array fields such as these and you need a little maneuvering to list these out.

  1. Open Powershell
  2. Run this command to add the Citrix Powershell Add-ins: Add-PSSnapIn citrix.xenapp.commands
  3. Then run this: Get-XAApplicationReport * | select DisplayName, FolderPath, @{n=”Servers”;e={[string]::join(” / “, $_.ServerNames)}}, @{n=”Users”;e={[string]::join(” / “, $_.Accounts)}} | Export-Csv c:\apps\app-list.csv (This will create a CSV file in C:\apps of the server. If you don’t want it there, change this path)

Here’s some more information on using this tool: http://community.citrix.com/display/ocb/2011/01/25/Importing+and+Exporting+published+Apps+using+PowerShell

There are more fields you can select from, so make sure you play around with this!

I’m really enjoying Google+ (Google Plus)! They need to open up another round of invites soon though!

Google has finally shown their hand in their bid to give it another try at taking a bite out of the social networking space. Will this be another flop like the now defunct Google Wave or Google Buzz?

From the demo and the information posted on the site, it looks like they are taking mobile more seriously than Facebook seems to be offering what looks like deep mobile phone integration (at least for Android devices). Taking mobile seriously is definitely a smart move on their part, but will it be enough to attract an active user base?

Microsoft Acquires Skype

Worst news ever.

I fail to understand why Facebook fails to innovate in the mobile space. All of their mobile apps suck.

I know it’s not huge news, but I got selected to try out the new Digg design. It’s not a huge overhaul, but a step in the right direction. For the official Digg blog with more details on the changes, click here.

The new Facebook Messages feature got turned on for me. Now I can send and receive emails directly through Facebook.

This is probably the weirdest thing I’ve seen today. Watch 3D movies without having to use 3D glasses.

Today I’ve made some calls to phones using Gmail’s new “Call phones” feature, which allows you to call phones from Gmail and it’s been working pretty well. While on call, it didn’t feel like there was any latency or echo, so it was nice having a fluid conversation. Before Google made this feature available, I had been using Google Voice via Sipgate for making occasional calls from my computer, but always had some latency issues most likely due to piggy-backing on multiple services. I really like the advantages of Google Voice such as the voice mail transcription, managing my contacts online, and forwarding to all of my other phones at once.

Internet Explorer 9 UI Revealed - According to neowin.net, it looks like a screenshot of the new UI for IE has been leaked. The new UI looks much cleaner than ever. I think it’s a change for the better!
